Everything on this page and the pages it links to is free to read, print and share. No account, no email address, nothing to unlock. The questions are in the ASE format, four options and one best answer, and each one explains why every option is right or wrong.

05Where they come from
Each question is written to one task in the ASE task list for its test, checked by a second reviewer, and weighted to the test specification. The method, and how to report a question you think is wrong, is in how our questions are made.
ToolboxPrep is an independent study site. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by ASE (the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence). Our questions are original practice questions written to the published ASE test specifications; they are not actual test questions.
